  • The Kendall Hotel, located in Cambridge, adjacent to MIT, this is one of the best kept secrets in the area!  Listed in the Historical Hotels of America, words do not do it justice.  This former Firehouse , home to Engine Company 7,  and built in 1894 is as charming and inviting as it gets.  From the moment you set foot inside, you are greeted warmly.  No detail is spared.  This historical building is beautifully appointed, with every modern convenience.  Two  meeting rooms, a rooftop room to enjoy an afternoon glass of wine, and a “Firemen’s Breakfast” that is fabulous.  To top all of this, the service is impeccable, staff waiting to assist you in any possible way.  Moving my son from Manhattan Beach, CA to MIT was made stress free by their entire staff.  The Black Sheep Restaurant, located within the building is fabulous as well.   This is one property not to be missed!  Located just a few steps from the ‘T’,  this property has erased any idea I had of staying in a ‘chain’ hotel again.
  • This was the most relaxed, most wonderful hotel stay we have EVER had… and that includes places such as The Willard (Wash DC), the Beverly Wilshire (Beverly Hills), and so forth.   We would choose the Kendall HANDS DOWN over any other place. The staff was friendly and informative, the room was clean and comfortable (and let’s face it, the decor was fun!), the food was excellent, and the history of the building itself was absolutely charming. Our children loved it and their gift bags were an incredibly sweet touch! Smiling, giggling kids — what a fantastic way to begin a stay … There are simply too many good things to say (although I am trying) about the Kendall. I have recommended it to EVERYONE I know who needs a hotel in the Boston/Cambridge area, and I sincerely look forward to returning with my family again and again. Thank you so much for being exactly what we needed on our Boston trip
  • Have stayed in Boston area a lot..wish I’d found this hotel sooner!! Has its own garage, outstanding breakfast, amazing rooms, great location, and unbeatable price!! Hotel staff unbelievably friendly and helpful. T- station right across the street as well as free shuttle to local galleria!
  • We enjoyed our stay at the Kendall Hotel. The staff was pleasant, the room was quiet, comfortable and clean, breakfast was tasty, and the location can’t be beat! It’s a short walk from the T stop, the river (where we ran), and restaurants. We loved coming into the lobby and stopping by the fireplace to warm up. A nice surprise was the week night wine tastings and the champagne tasting on New Year’s Eve. We will go back to the Kendall Hotel!!
  • We loved it! We had the cutest room on the second floor- (wedding room as it had old fashioned wedding photos and we were just married) pale quilts, high ceilings, small but adorable! Smashing bathroom too…new very large tub with jets and all new other fixtures. Loved the robes and decided to stay in and order out just to have a relaxing night. Full breakfast couldn’t be beat either.
  • If you want a place to stay that is not only clean, quiet, and comfortable, but also aesthetically pleasing, this is definitely the place. Beautiful antiques and artistic touches everywhere, homemade quilts on the beds, beautiful colors. Wonderful full buffet breakfast included in price. Hotel staff very friendly.
